Intolerance…
He that cannot tolerate others most likely is finding it difficult to tolerate himself.
A psychological test once proved this point:
They put some men in a room with no stimulus, and then put an electric shock machine in the room.
Do you know that 70% of the men preferred to give themselves electric shocks, rather than be alone with their thoughts?
If you find it difficult to stay in a room with closed eyes (not sleeping!) for an hour doing nothing,it means you are afraid to face what is within you.You are intolerant of your own mind!
Such person will definitely not be able to tolerate others.
That is one of the reasons hardened criminals are locked in a solitary confinement to be able to face their internal ‘demons’ by force.
The displeasure you have with your co-worker or your boss is an extension of the turmoil within you.Be at peace within and you will be able to tolerate others.
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”-Ephe 4:1-2
