The man in 1Cor 5 would have benefited from a psychologist’s/psychiatrist’s review,if the incident had happened nowadays.Yes! Also, a 60- year old man sleeping with or raping a 7-year old girl is not normal.Such person needs a psychiatric evaluation even beyond the church’s punitive measures.
