There is Power in the Name of Jesus

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed”- Luke 4:18

From the above verse,it can be seen that Christ mandate encompasses both salvation and deliverance of the people from the oppression of the devil.

Let’s see the different categories of people that Jesus delivered during His earthly ministry.(These are just few of the miracles performed by Christ):

1)He healed a leper:

“Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.”  And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean”.Matt 8:3

Infectious diseases are disorders caused by organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi.

Leprosy(Hansen disease) is an example of chronic infection caused by unique forms of bacteria.How Jesus could heal him immediately is beyond medical science.Halleluyah!

Other examples of infectious diseases are:
Meningitis,encephalitis,Tonsilitis,Pneumonia, tuberculosis, Urinary tract Infection,HIV etc.Whatever it is,provided it has a name, the name of Jesus is above it.

2)Peter’s mother -in- law was healed of fever which was probably due to infestations by protozoans.Capernaum was a fishing village so many vectors of these protozoans were predominant there.

“Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them.”-Luke 4:38-39

Immediately she was healed!

3)Jesus healed a man born blind in John 9

Being born blind is a form of congenital disease.Congenital defects(physical or genetic) are in- born errors that are present at birth.Despite this,Jesus healed him.He put mud on the man’s eyes as if He was doing a reconstructive surgery! He did it without entering theatre!!! Glory be to God.

“Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud.He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!”-John 9:6

Other examples of congenital diseases include Down syndrome,Sickle cell Anemia,Spina bifida,physical defects from birth etc.

He healed such in the past,He can do it again.Halleluyah.

4)A woman with probably a gynaecological problem was healed of 12 years of continuous flow of blood by Christ.

“And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone”-Luke 8:43

Do you have a gynaecological problem that has defied all human interventions both home and abroad?

Is it a dysfunctional uterine bleeding? Uterine fibroid? Primary or secondary infertility? Endometriosis? Cervical cancer? Breast cancer? Etc.

Today I am here to reemphasize what Jesus said in the Scripture:

“Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”-Matt 19:26

6)Jesus delivered a woman that was bent over for 18years.She probably had a condition the orthopedic surgeons would have a name for today.

“And a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 

Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God”-Luke 13:11-13

7)Jesus cured a man of dropsy:

“And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy”-Luke 14:2

Dropsy is an abnormal swelling of the body due to the accumulation of excess water.It is an archaic terminology for oedema.Do we still have such medical conditions today? Yes.This can be seen in people with
congestive heart failure, kidney problems etc

Glory to Jesus.He healed the man with dropsy then,He can still do it today if you call His name.

“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”-Romans 10:13

8)Jesus cured a demoniac with psychiatric problems(may be schizophrenia) in Mark 5

“This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him.Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.

When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him“-Mark 5:3-6

If you can call on the name of Jesus today,there is no condition that won’t bow before His name.This is because He has been given a name that is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,both in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Therefore every knee of infectious diseases….Bow down in Jesus’ name.
You chains of psychiatric sicknesses be broken in the name of Jesus.
Shackles of cancers, chronic abnormal bleeding be thou broken in Jesus’ name.
Hypertension, diabetes, renal failure,heart failure,hear the voice of the Lord get out of those bodies in Jesus’ name.
Every knee of infertility,migraine headache,malaria fever ,typhoid fever,appendicitis,urinary tract infections…. Bow down in Jesus’ name.
Chains of congenital diseases be thou broken now in the name that is above every other names.
I can hear the chains being broken now now now in Jesuuuuuuuuuuussssssssssss Nammmmmmmmme!!!
