How Methuselah lived a fulfilled life (2)
Some time ago,I was studying the book of Genesis and my eyes were opened to some hidden facts about Methuselah.
What I received were totally different from the narratives I grew up with as regards this man.
Background history of Methuselah showed that Enoch was his father.
Enoch,as you know,was an extraordinary man.He was reputed as a righteous man that walked with God and never tasted death.
But the Bible clearly states that it was after Enoch had Methuselah that he started walking with God!
“And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.”
First revelation about Methuselah is that his birth marked a spiritual turnaround for Enoch.
Enoch’s walk with God only began after the birth of this great man (Methuselah),not before!
