Moses’ first excuse had been sorted out by the assurance of God being with him in Egypt.

However,Moses still had one excuse that might not make him go to Egypt.

“Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”-Exo 3:13

40 years earlier,a man had asked Moses similar question after he killed the Egyptian:”Who made you a prince and a judge over us?”-Exo 2:14

Therefore, that time around Moses was not willing to go back to Egypt without knowing the name of who was commissioning him for the task.

Again,God allayed his fears by telling him what he would tell the Israelites:

“I AM WHO I AM”-Exo 3:14

The lesson for us today is this:

Do not try to run errand for a God you don’t know personally.
